In office ONLY - Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm 
 
Job Summary
The Data Entry Tech will be responsible to perform routine to complex data entry. The incumbent will provide office support functions as needed for the Utilization Management department.
 
Position Responsibilities
Participates in a mission-driven culture of high-quality performance, with a member focus on customer service, consistency, dignity and accountability.
Assists the team in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborates with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
Performs data entry of various documents, data sources and files.
Conducts outreach calls for data entry purposes as needed.
Assists with mailing information to members.
Provides resource and mailing support for teleworking staff as applicable.
Alerts supervisor of any issues that impact production and quality.
Ensures all Protected Healthcare Information (PHI) is locked at the end of the day.
Completes other projects and duties as assigned.

Possesses the Ability to:
Use data entry common techniques.
Maintain organized files and be detail oriented.
Analyze incoming mail and determine appropriate course of action.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and staff.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Utilize computer and appropriate software (e.g., Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and job-specific applications/systems to produce correspondence, charts, spreadsheets and/or other information applicable to the position assignment.

Experience & Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
1 year of data entry experience required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above may also be qualifying.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a managed health care environment.
 
Knowledge of:
Data entry techniques and standard medical terminology.
Office business practices
