CONTRACT Forensics Collections Specialist

Our client, a leading firm in the legal industry, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Forensic Collections Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for forensically sound cloning for backups and archives, as well as data transfers. This position will also play a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the chain of custody for data preservation and inventory. Ideally, candidates will have experience with disks, archiving, and transfers for discovery. The ideal candidates will have strong EnCase skills and mobile collection experience, including in-person and remote collections. This position will start as part-time hours with the potential to move to full-time hours and is hybrid in New York. Previous experience or familiarity with forensic collections, evidence handling for eDiscovery, and enterprise IT infrastructure is highly desired.

Job Requirements

• Forensically sound cloning for backups/archives and forensically sound for data transfers
• Ability to maintain and ensure chain of custody for data preservation and inventory
• High integrity and commitment to confidentiality
• Exposure and knowledge of how to handle disks, archiving, and transfers for discovery
• Must be willing to travel when needed
• eDiscovery and enterprise IT infrastructure are highly desired
