Project Attorney - eDiscovery

Our client, the leading firm for complex U.S. M&A, litigation, governance, and regulatory work, is seeking several Project Attorneys to join their Litigation practice. As part of the Project Attorney Team, you will work closely with litigators, arbitrators, antitrust litigators, and other legal support team members to provide efficient eDiscovery support and document review and production. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a prestigious firm and gain valuable experience in complex eDiscovery processes. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality client service. Candidates should have a sophisticated understanding of eDiscovery processes and experience supporting large, multijurisdictional, complex cases, an understanding of privilege and work product issues, including the applicable rules and caselaw governing privilege disputes and advanced proficiency with Relativity. Candidates with experience in analytic products such as TAR, Relativity Analytics and Brainspace are a plus. If you have some complex eDiscovery experience working for a mid-to-large law firm and/or an eDiscovery provider and are licensed to practice law in North Carolina, we want to hear from you.

About the job
We are seeking several Project Attorneys to join our Litigation practice. The Project Attorney Team works closely with our litigators, arbitrators, antitrust litigators and other legal support team members to provide streamlined and efficient eDiscovery support and document review and production.
Candidates will be managed by the company’s eDiscovery team who will provide mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The client requires strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to providing the highest quality client service. 

Key responsibilities and deliverables:
  • First and Second-Level Document Review
  • Privilege review and redactions
  • Assist with the preparation and review of privilege logs
  • Prepare witness prep binders and materials
  • Supervise contract attorneys as needed
  • Create and oversee QC processes

Key requirements:
  • Must have some complex eDiscovery experience working for a mid-to-large law firm and/or an eDiscovery provider
  • Must have a JD and active bar licensure in North Carolina
  • Must have a sophisticated understanding of eDiscovery processes and experience supporting large, multijurisdictional, complex cases
  • Must have an understanding of privilege and work product issues, including the applicable rules and caselaw governing privilege disputes
  • Must have advanced proficiency with Relativity
  • Experience with analytic products such as TAR, Relativity Analytics and Brainspace is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and some weekends
  • Foreign language skills are a plus
