Litigation Support Specialist - eDiscovery

Our client, a top premier international law firm, is seeking a Litigation Technology Specialist to work in their New York office in a hybrid capacity. This role MUST be comfortable working 12 pm -8 pm EST with 2 days in office/3 days remote. In this role, the Specialist will work closely with project managers, attorneys, paralegals, and other staff and will assist with technical support for all stages of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work independently and must have good oral and written communication skills. The Specialist should have a good understanding of the full cycle of the EDRM. Relativity and trial support experience are a plus, but solid experience with any platform  (Viewpoint, Ringtail/Nuix, etc.) is applicable and acceptable.

Litigation Technology Specialist
The primary focus of this position is assisting our legal teams in the use of litigation support tools and processes, with a focus on client service
  • Work in a team setting and receive direction from project managers, and legal staff on case technology strategy and tasks to be completed
  • Work with attorneys, clients and vendors to facilitate data exchanges using various forms of media
  • Load, process and verify electronically stored information (ESI) to review platform
  • Build, configure, and maintain all databases. Create user accounts, set up security access profiles, create review layouts, manipulate data, run productions, perform QC checks, and other database-related tasks.
  • Provide training and support to legal teams on the use of review platforms and other litigation support software applications
  • Assist legal teams in the review process, by creating and running database searches and utilizing advanced software features
  • Run database reports as directed by LTS management and legal teams
  • Facilitate communications between attorneys and eDiscovery vendors
  • Provide feedback and status updates to project manager and legal teams
  • Follow and ensure that departmental best practices and policies are adhered to. Perform recordkeeping activities using departmental systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field preferred
  • Some experience in litigation technology support
  • Proficient in the use of an eDiscovery document review platform such as Relativity, Viewpoint, Casepoint, Reveal, etc. Familiarity with other litigation and extranet software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Thorough knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, and familiarity with eDiscovery best practices and protocols
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment, and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible for overtime
  • ACEDS certification is a plus
Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $120,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
